Fox Memorial Park

Fox Memorial Park started as an inspiration and land donated by the Paul Fox Family in the late 1970s. This 100-acre park (50+ currently developed) contains a small lake excellent for swimming, fishing, and ice skating in designated areas.

Fox Park Public Observatory

The Observatory is located inside Fox Park in the far northwest corner of the park past the beach area and new restroom facility. This is an open-air facility so please dress for the weather, bring mosquito protection in the summer, and wear sensible footwear for the 200-yard walk to the Observatory. Program fees are collected on site for all programs and the motor vehicle entry fee is waived for all Observatory night programs.

Potterville City Park

Located right in downtown Potterville just off of M-100 features a little league ball field, a play structure known as “Imagination Station” 2 pavilions, picnic tables, restrooms and its right next to the Potterville-Benton Township District Library.

Thornapple River

The Thornapple River is an 88.1-mile-long (141.8 km) tributary of Michigan’s longest river, the Grand River. The Thornapple is the only major left tributary of the Grand River. The river rises in Eaton County, Michigan and drains a primarily rural farming area in Central Michigan. The river cuts through Benton Township near Pinch Hwy and exits through Potterville’s I-69 crossing. The river is very fishable. A large number of species inhabit the river.
