NOTICE OF DISCONTINUANCE OF

PERMANENT ABSENT VOTER APPLICATION LIST 

The Michigan Bureau of Elections is discontinuing the Permanent Absent Voter Application List in the Michigan Department of State’s Qualified Voter File.  This means Benton Charter Township will no longer be automatically sending Absent Voter Applications.  This is the last automatic Absent Voter Application you will receive. 

There are still two ways in which you can receive an Absent Voter Ballot:

1. You may submit a properly completed Absent Voter Application (this may be found at gov/vote), either by mail or online, for each future election in which you would like to request a ballot, or;

2. You may request to be placed on the Permanent Ballot List so that you will automatically receive a ballot for each future election in which you are registered and eligible to vote. To do this, please check the box on the enclosed application, then sign, and return in the enclosed envelope.

In person ballot drop off hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays only. Drop box is available 24 hours a day during elections.
